  Fort Lauderdale rewards a short stay better than most Florida cities, because the things worth doing sit close together and none of them need a full day.

  Orlando is organised around the theme parks, and the single most useful thing to know is that a two or three night stay is not enough time to do them properly — which frees you to do something else.

• Kissimmee

  Florida

  Most people end up in Kissimmee because the accommodation is better value than staying closer in, and that is a perfectly good reason — but it is also a real place with things worth doing.
